Advocacy Coordinator
CARES Program for Survivors
Bailey (she/her/hers) works to provide advocacy and support services to students and faculty of all gender identities who have experienced gender-based or power-based violence, including sexual assault, domestic and relationship violence, stalking, and harassment.
Bailey attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an undergraduate, where she studied Sociology and Women and Gender Studies. As an undergraduate, Bailey volunteered with emergency domestic violence shelters and worked as a research assistant for a post-doctoral student studying racial equity in access to reproductive healthcare. She went on to get her Master’s Degree in Sociology and Criminology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While pursuing her Master’s degree, Bailey performed her own thesis research around student perceptions of and experiences with the sexual assault resources that UNCW provides to undergraduates.
